Intrepid in Glass

This intrepid dragonfly is modeled after a beautiful photograph that Scott took at the Palo Duro Canyon.  Noting the dragonfly flying over the field of spiney prickely pear, he captured the beauty of the insect and the rawness of nature.  
 
Making this scene into glass was fulfilling and fun.  The dragonfly was a challenge, but I am very pleased with how he turned out and I hope you are inspired by his intrepidness as well!
 
The pot is handmade from reclaimed lumber, and is weighted to prevent tipping.
